Ministry Companions play a vital role in creating meaningful relationships and connection within the parish. You provide compassionate support, a familiar face, and a trusted presence for individuals navigating one of life’s most painful experiences—marital crisis, separation, or divorce.

If you are here because you feel like the Lord is calling you to help, thank you for listening to that call.

Countless souls quietly suffer through marital struggle, separation, and divorce—often feeling isolated, overwhelmed, spiritually lost, or unsure where to turn for support.
 

The Build a New Life Workshop 12-Week Support and Healing Intensive was created to help ensure that no Catholic walks through separation or divorce alone. This faith-filled Catholic program provides compassionate accompaniment, emotional and spiritual support, practical guidance, and a structured path toward healing and hope for those navigating one of life’s most painful seasons.

As this mission grows, we prayerfully seek individuals who feel called to accompany others with compassion, faithfulness, and hope.

You do not need to be a counselor, theologian, or expert to serve in this ministry.

Many Ministry Companions simply help create a welcoming and supportive environment through hospitality, listening, encouragement, prayer, outreach, or small-group support.
 

Abounding Joy Ministry provides:

  • Complete pastoral guidance and workshop structure

  • Comprehensive training and easy-to-use materials

  • Ongoing guidance so you always feel equipped and supported
     

Most importantly: you will not walk this alone.
